Saturday October 8 (day 101/365)

Phoebe had a little bit of a cold this weekend and on top of that she started working on a few more teeth.  By the middle of the day on Saturday, the baby was just a snotty, drooly, grumpy mess.  At some point the tragic-ness escalated to the point where we pulled out the big guns (the Muppets).  We don't let Phoebe watch much TV at all, but every once in a while we'll throw in an episode of the Muppets when nothing else is working.  Usually we only end up watching 10 or 15 minutes but it is enough to get our little muppet settled down.

When Phoebe gets really worked up, she'll scream and scream and scream (even while you are holding her and rocking) and really only two things will calm her down
(1) The Muppets
(2) Putting her in the Ergo (baby carrier) and walking laps around the neighborhood
at 2:00 AM deciding which method to employ often comes down to a coin flip - but at least if we watch the Muppets, we don't run the risk of running into the neighbors in our PJs.

Muppets and snacks with Daddy make everything better.

Phoebe demonstrates her technique for defeating the "no spill" feature on the no spill snack cup.
