Happy Fourth of July! I started my day listening to the Declaration of Independence being read on NPR and baking red white and blue cookies

Later in the day we had an impromptu get-together with our friends Geoff and Kristen who drove down from Palo Alto. All of us went to downtown Monterey where we met up with our friend Leslie to go to the City of Monterey 4th of July Entertainment Extravaganza (that is actually the official name). It was a lot of fun! There was a bounce house, food, and a Beach Boys cover band.

After the festivities down town, we headed back to the house where we had a BBQ with our neighbors. We are very lucky to have awesome neighbors that we get along with very well. The two little boys next door are Jeremy's biggest fans - sometimes we can hear them outside chanting his name :)
